Description
23 Park Street is a two-storey building featuring a symmetrical elevation with four windows. It is constructed from roughly coursed and squared sandstone rubble, accented by dressed stone quoins. The hipped slate roof is topped with two octagonal stone chimneys. There are paired central entrances that share a stone canopy. The windows are adorned with hoodmoulds; however, those on the ground floor are badly eroded, while the upper-level windows have been restored.
On the left side, there are paired entrances beneath a shared stone canopy, although the entrance on the right has been converted into a window. The right side mirrors the left. Overall, the two-unit cottages maintain their basic plan form, with some original stairs and blocked corner fireplaces still present.
