Description
15 Park Street is a two-storey building with a symmetrical elevation featuring four windows. It is constructed from roughly coursed and squared sandstone rubble, with dressed stone quoins and a hipped slate roof that includes two octagonal stone chimneys. The building has paired central entrances with 19th-century doors that are sheltered by a stone canopy. The windows have hoodmoulds, although those on the ground floor are badly eroded, while those on the upper level have been restored.
The left side of the building has a later porch, and the right side features paired entrances under a shared stone canopy, with the right entrance now converted into a window. Some two-unit cottages in the area maintain their basic plan form, and a few still have original stairs and blocked corner fireplaces. Number 15 retains its original plan form and many contemporary features, including plank doors with strap hinges in most rooms and similar doors leading to the staircase. The front room contains a corner fireplace with a simple surround, and the attic features an original cast-iron skylight.
