Description

The Gate House, also known as Park or Gate Lodge, is a two-storey building dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of roughly coursed rubble with dressed stone quoins and features a hipped slate roof topped with an octagonal stone chimney. The building has a two-unit plan, with an off-centre entrance that includes a stone canopy. To the right of the entrance is a narrow window, while to the left is another window that has a hoodmould. The upper floor window also has a restored hoodmould. The left-hand side of the building has additional windows with hoodmoulds, along with a later extension on this side and at the rear. Inside, some rooms have exposed beams.
