Description
14 Park Street is a two-storey building featuring a symmetrical elevation with four windows. The structure is made of roughly coursed and squared sandstone rubble, accented by dressed stone quoins. It has a hipped slate roof topped with two octagonal stone chimneys. The central entrance is paired and features 19th-century doors that are sheltered by a stone canopy. The windows are fitted with hoodmoulds; however, those on the ground floor are badly eroded while the upper-level windows have been restored.
On the left side, there is a later porch, while the right side has paired entrances under a shared stone canopy, with the right entrance now converted into a window. Some of the two-unit cottages maintain their basic plan form, and several still have original staircases and blocked corner fireplaces. Number 15 retains its original plan and many contemporary features, including plank doors with strap hinges in most rooms and similar doors leading to the staircase. The front room has a corner fireplace with a simple surround, and the attic includes an original cast-iron skylight.
