Description
Plas Moor is a late 18th-century painted brick farmhouse that was expanded and cosmetically updated in the second quarter of the 19th century. The building has two storeys and is topped with a slate roof, featuring two plain brick stacks. The southwest front has three windows and an advanced, gabled cross-wing on the left, which has plain barge-boards and modern decorative timber-framing. At the apex of the gable, there is a wooden plaque inscribed with "Plas Moore MDCCXCIII". The roof has dentilated eaves.
The central entrance is adorned with a moulded and returned hood, leading to a recessed door that is vertically-studded and topped with a rectangular fanlight. The windows are recessed 16-pane sash types with hoods and plain projecting cills, while the ground floor of the gabled bay features a 24-pane sash window. There is a contemporary two-storey outshut to the northwest. The northeast front, which faces the farmyard, is simpler, with dentilated eaves and irregular window placement, including 24-pane fixed iron-framed windows. Late 19th and 20th-century additions can be found to the northwest and northeast.
