Description

Manor Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse, with alterations made in the mid-19th century, and incorporating an earlier core. The main block is of brick, with the front face stuccoed, and has a slate roof with lead ridges. It is a two-story, three-bay building with a single-story range added to the front in the 19th century. The addition features a central archway flanked by pilasters. Inside the house, there is an original six-panel door. The front has sash windows with twelve panes to each sash. A cornice and parapet with coping run along the top. On the first floor are three sash windows with twelve panes each. The other side of the building has a 20th-century door centrally placed; to the left are French windows, and to the right a three-light casement window under a segmental head, with a small 20th-century window placed beside it. The roof is hipped, with a stack in front of the ridge on the front elevation, and another on the rear hip. An earlier core to the building was revealed during alterations in 1980, including a 16th-century well.
