Description
Stryt Swndwr is a two-storey rectangular farmhouse with extensions at both ends, built from unevenly coursed limestone and topped with slate roofs. The central section features two bays and a central doorway. There are two casement windows on the ground floor and two more on the first floor, with brick chimney stacks at each end.
To the west, a former shippon has been raised to create a dairy in the 18th century. This section is also made of limestone and has kneelers under a slate roof. It includes a doorway with a boarded door on strap hinges, set beneath a segmental stone voussoir, along with a ground floor sash window and a first floor casement window. A stone milk churn stand is located between the door and window, and there is a brick chimney stack.
At the gable end, there is a single-storey lean-to with a brick front and a door, also under a slate roof. This lean-to leads to a pigsty made of limestone, featuring one door opening and a window, covered by a corrugated iron roof. There is a loft opening on the east gable end wall.
The interior could not be inspected during the resurvey in 1997.
