Description
The former school room at Jerusalem Chapel is a rectangular, single-storey building made of dark, lightly diapered brick and topped with a slate roof. The gabled front faces the chapel forecourt and features camber-headed openings with voussoirs, along with a central datestone inscribed with the year 1885. The broad central entrance includes a margin-glazed fanlight above panelled double doors, while narrower eight-paned wooden windows are located on either side, still retaining the fittings of the pay-booths at the bottom. The side elevations have three windows each.
Inside, the main room remains largely unaltered, with a smaller room at the rear that has a quarry tiled floor, a fireplace, and a copper.
