Description

The gatehouse at Bryn Sion, dating from the 18th century, features rubble-stone walls that enclose a garden on the eastern front and extend to the southeast side of the house. A two-storey gateway made of rubble stone with a slate roof is attached to the south wall. The outer side of the gateway has a renewed timber lintel, while the wide opening on the inner side has been narrowed with rubble infill. The eastern gable end includes a small upper-storey vent, and on the western side, there is an added rubble-stone lean-to shed that wraps around the outer angle.
