Description

Gableside is a 2-storey, 3-window cottage constructed of rubble stone with a slate roof and rendered stacks at the center and left end. Originally, it was two cottages, each featuring a doorway on the right and a window on the left. The right-hand doorway has a boarded door, while the original doorway of the left-hand cottage has been replaced with a small-pane fixed window. The remaining windows are small-pane horizontal-sliding sashes, set under segmental heads with voussoirs on the lower storey and beneath the eaves on the upper storey. The left gable end has two inserted lower-storey windows and is rendered, as is the rear elevation, which includes single-storey additions. Above these additions, each original cottage has a small 2-light casement beneath the eaves.
