Description

1-2 North Street is a symmetrical pair of two-storey double-fronted houses built from rubble stone with larger quoins. They feature a slate roof behind coped gables and brick stacks at the ends. The lower storey has openings with segmental heads and voussoirs, and all windows are fitted with stone sills. Each house has a central doorway with a renewed boarded door that has vertical ribs. The lower storey includes 16-pane horizontal-sliding sash windows, while the upper storey has shorter 12-pane windows positioned beneath the eaves. There is a single-storey projection against the left gable end, which is now a shop. This building is part of a group with 1-2 North Street.
