Description

The sundial in the churchyard of Caerwys is made of freestone and features a baluster design on a square base and an octagonal plinth. Although the moulded stone cap has been replaced, the metal plate and gnomon are original. The plate is dated 1830 and includes the maker's name, along with the inscriptions 'JR' and 'EW', identifying the churchwardens.
