Description

The sundial in the churchyard of Hanmer is made of baluster-shaped freestone and features a plate. The plate, created by Dollond of London, has the inscription 'Thomas South, Richard Hinton Churchwardens 1821'. The gnomon, which is the part that casts the shadow, is missing.
