Description

Caerwys Pinfold is an open rectangular enclosure made of rubble stone, featuring larger dressed quoins and additional rubble cock-and-hen coping. The front of the structure has a segmental-headed doorway, which includes a keystone and rock-faced voussoirs, along with a replaced boarded door. This doorway is flanked by narrow slit openings. Each side wall contains three similar narrow slits, which have wide embrasures.
