Description

The milestone is keeled in shape, with the top surface sloping down towards the front angle. It is made of pecked stone, with the upper half painted white and the lower half painted black. The inscriptions on each side read 'Holywell 6 1/4 miles' on the left and 'Chester 11 miles' on the right.
