Description
The boundary wall to the north of Lislea House is a high red brick structure built in English bond, featuring flat stone copings and a brick plinth. On the far right, near the former stables, there is a square brick pier that has a monolithic stone band and a flat capstone. To the left of this pier is a narrow entrance flanked by similar piers, although these lack stone bands and are blocked with 20th-century red brick. The main entrance to Lislea House is located to the left. The quadrant walls curve inward towards brick piers with stone bands, and between these piers are low cast iron gates adorned with scrolls on the top and bottom rails, but without finials. The gates have panels that read 'Lislea' and 'House'. To the left of the main entrance, there is a second narrow entrance with piers similar to the first, featuring a shallow segmental brick head and also blocked with 20th-century red brick. The wall extends eastward for some distance, where it includes a pair of square sandstone piers with plain capstones, positioned between which are 20th-century wooden garage doors. The wall concludes with a square pier, and an additional wall runs behind it at a right angle.
