Joiners Shop and former Implement Store at Gwysaney Saw Mill

The joiners shop at Gwysaney Saw Mill is a two-storey building with a three-window facade, constructed from rock-faced stone with freestone dressings and topped with a slate roof. On the south side, facing the yard, there are three-light mullioned windows with hood moulds on each storey. The left gable end features a basket arch leading to a wide doorway, which has a boarded sliding door on the right side. Above this doorway, there is a boarded door on the upper storey. The ground level is elevated at the rear, where two two-light mullioned windows are located in the upper storey.

Attached to the right gable end of the joiners shop is a former implement store. The center and left side of this structure were originally open-fronted but have since been infilled with corrugated iron sheets and glazed panels. The right side and gable end of the implement store are constructed from rubble stone.

The joiners shop has a three-bay roof supported by king posts and raking struts, while the implement store features a similar six-bay roof. The trusses in the implement store are supported by a long timber wall plate at the front, which is held up by a single cast iron column that is now hidden behind the corrugated iron sheeting.
