Description
The Joiner's Shop, located to the north of the saw mill, is a mid-19th century building that now serves as offices and storage. Constructed from coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings, it features a combination of Welsh slate and machine tile roofs. The building has a single ridge stack and a truncated gable stack, and is designed as a single-storey L-shaped structure.
The west elevation presents a symmetrical two-bay front, with a central doorway that has a chamfered ashlar surround and a panelled door. This doorway is flanked by two 3-light recessed and chamfered mullion windows. The south elevation consists of six irregular bays, with a projecting gabled bay on the left that includes a 3-light recessed and chamfered mullion window, which has a segmental relieving arch and diamond glazing. In the angle to the right, there are a pair of plank doors, followed by two additional 3-light mullion windows and three former cart entrances that are divided by square piers. These entrances have been blocked off with 20th-century glazed and timber partitions.
