Description

Picton Yard Farm is a cottage featuring three windows and a single storey, except for the right-hand unit which is two storeys with a flatter roof pitch. The building is constructed of whitened rubble stone, topped with a slate roof and has small rendered end stacks. The windows have been replaced with horizontal sliding sashes that sit under wooden lintels. The original doorway, located in the left-hand gable end, is enclosed by a single-storey flat-roofed extension. At the rear, there is an added lean-to.

Inside, the original house includes a full-height timber-framed screen separating the two units. The hall fireplace features a timber lintel, and above it, there is a single queen-post roof truss.
