Description

Pen-y-Glasdir is a two-storey, four-window house dating from the 18th century. The exterior walls are rendered, with a partially battered appearance, and the roof is slate-covered, featuring rendered brick stacks at the ends and in the centre of the front elevation. A gabled porch, with a replaced door and small side windows, is positioned to the right of the centre of the front facade. Flanking the porch are two-light mullioned windows. A further window at the left end of the front is blocked and only visible from within the house. The upper storey contains four-pane sash windows at the ends and two narrower sash windows in the centre. The right gable end has an inserted two-light casement window, behind which is a flat-roofed projection. This projection is also built against a gabled, single-storey rear wing on the right side of the main house. The rear wing's right side features a two-light mullioned window and a four-pane sash window at the end, with upper sash windows similar to those on the front.

The house follows a lobby entry plan. The hall to the left features a timber lintel above the fireplace, with an integrated bread oven. The hall and parlour, now combined into a single room, have simple joist-beam ceilings. Window seats are present in the hall.
