Description
7 Glanyrafon Cottages is a row of 11 single-fronted, two-storey cottages constructed from rubble stone. They feature barge boards, a slate roof, and diagonally set stone ridge stacks. Cottages numbered 1, 3, and 7 include attic windows in their gables. The openings are fitted with stone lintels and drip stones on the lower storey, as well as in the upper storey and attic of the aforementioned cottages. The other cottages have upper-storey windows positioned beneath the eaves, and all windows are equipped with stone sills. Each cottage has its window located on the left side of the doorway. Between cottages 6 and 7, there is a passage at lower storey level, which has segmental stone arches on both the front and rear walls, leading to a passage at the back. On the right side of this passage, cottages 7 to 11 have a higher roof line. Cottages 11 and 12 have a slightly deeper plan and feature pairs of diagonal stacks. The houses include rear doors and windows that have been renewed in previous openings.
Internally, each cottage consists of two rooms on the lower storey. The cottages have restored boarded doors and horizontal-sliding sash windows, along with a fixed attic window.
