Description
This is a three-unit, two-storey L-shaped terrace of cottages located in Henllan. Dating to the 18th century, the cottages are constructed of limestone rubble with a continuous slate roof and tiled ridge, and feature plain stone chimneys with cornice bands. The first cottage from the left (number 3) has an L-shaped design, with a single-bay gabled extension projecting at a right angle into the road. This extension, and the left-hand bay of the main range, feature unhorned 12-pane sash windows to both floors; the ground-floor windows are larger and have dressed stone lintels. The front door has six panels, a narrow rectangular overlight, and a stone lintel matching the windows. Cottages number 5 and 7 have similar windows to the left of their entrances. Number 5 has modern doors and a canopy porch, while number 7 has a recessed boarded door with a lintel inscribed with the date 1864, above which is a 12-pane sash window. Projecting stone sills are found throughout. The interior of the cottages was not inspected.
