Description
The limekiln at Trewyn Farm is a small structure built from rough undressed limestone blocks, measuring about 8 meters square and standing approximately 5 meters high. It is located near the roadside, south of a small quarry, at the entrance to Trewyn Farm. The top opening of the kiln has a diameter of about 2 meters and retains some vitrified lining. The kiln is constructed against a quarried face, with a ramp leading up to the top on the east side. There are working recesses on the north and south sides, each measuring 1.5 meters wide and deep, featuring corbelled sides. Additionally, an iron bar and brick lining can be seen around the working hole on the south side.
