Description

The lime kiln at Kiln Farm is a large structure built from rubble stone, featuring a projecting section to the east, which may be part of another kiln that no longer exists. It has large kiln-eyes on the west and east sides, each with a segmental arch made of stone voussoirs. The crucible is open and tapers towards the bottom, accessible from the east kiln-eye that has been repaired with a 20th-century concrete lintel. The top of the kiln is finished with 20th-century paving and railings.
