Description

Pont Clwyd is a single-span road bridge constructed from local limestone rubble. It features a segmental arch made of rough-dressed voussoirs that are recessed below the arch-rings, which consist of narrow stones. The carriageway has a gentle hump and is flanked by parapets made of tooled limestone blocks that are set on end and secured with metal ties. The parapets are slightly splayed out at the approaches.
