Description

Pont Llanychan is a wide single-span road bridge built from local limestone rubble. It features a segmental arch made of rough-dressed voussoirs that are recessed below the arch-rings, which consist of narrow stones. The carriageway has a gentle hump, and the rubble parapets are advanced and splayed out at the approaches. The bridge has square terminating piers and limestone copings, with a continuous plain stringcourse running along both sides above the arch.
