Description

Pont Llanychan is a bridge built with a single low segmental span of approximately 12 meters, constructed from local limestone. The voussoirs are narrow, measuring about 0.6 meters deep, and there is a thin corbelled course on the extrados. The main masonry is axe-dressed and informally coursed. Above a thin string course, there is a similar parapet. The sides and parapets of the bridge flare out at all four corners. The carriageway is about 5 meters wide, and the side parapets are around 0.8 meters high, featuring flat copings that are linked by pairs of iron cramps.
