Description

Pont-y-cambwll is a single arch bridge built in local limestone, featuring a high segmental form with a span of approximately 15 metres. The arch consists of thin voussoirs that are about 400 mm deep. The side masonry is corbelled, extending about 100 mm proud of the arch's voussoirs. The carriageway measures about 5 metres in width and is flanked by low parapet walls. These parapets are topped with flat copings that are jointed using metal cramps.
