Description
The former agricultural range at Ty Coch is a five-bay barn that was originally box-framed and now features a red brick facing with infill. It has a steeply-pitched slate roof with brick gable parapets. There is an off-centre entrance to the left, which has a boarded door and a sandstone lintel dating from around 1900, along with large steel-framed windows from the 20th century flanking it. To the far right, there are two further entrances that have been blocked, with the farthest now featuring steel windows. The barn also has two boarded loading bays on the upper floor, and sections of the original wall posts and wall plate can be seen on this side.
At the rear, there is a single-storey brick lean-to from around 1900, which has a mathematical brick dado and dentilated eaves. There is another boarded door on the west gable, along with a blocked-up opening to the first floor. The original five-bay roof features pegged oak tie-beam and collar trusses, with wall posts visible in the western bays.
