Description

Pont Clwyd is a bridge featuring a single arch with a segmental span of about 8 meters and a carriageway approximately 4 meters wide. It is constructed from axe-dressed local stone, including voussoirs that are 500 millimeters deep. The bridge has low parapets made of orthostat stones on each side, standing about 400 millimeters high at the crown. The parapets slightly flare out at each end, but there are no terminal piers. Each joint at the top of the parapets is reinforced with paired bronze cramps.
