Description

The lychgate of St Tyrnog is a simple structure featuring a slated timber roof supported by principal rafters connected by collar beams at both the front and rear. It stands on stone side walls made of axe-dressed masonry, with ashlar piers at the front and rear. The front and rear trusses also have collar beams, and the panels above these beams are carved into trefoils. The lychgate includes cast iron gates designed in a Gothic style, positioned between the stone posts.
