Description

This sandstone war memorial is designed in the shape of a preaching cross and is set on an octagonal plinth. The faces of the plinth display the names of those who fell in the Great War and the Second World War.

The shaft of the memorial is octagonal but square at the base, featuring broach stops. The upper section of the shaft slightly swells between astragals, and the head is four-sided with blank niches. At the top, there is a finial shaped like a two-way poppy-head.

The memorial is surrounded by a small octagonal step both above and below the plinth, along with a single large octagonal step.
