Description
Pont Drefechan is a single-span road bridge constructed from local limestone rubble. It features a segmental arch made of rough-dressed voussoirs that are recessed below the arch-rings, which consist of narrow stones. The carriageway has a gentle hump and is flanked by rubble parapets topped with limestone copings. At the eastern end, the bridge's parapets curve around to the up-river side, following the road for about 6 meters before ending. On the west side, the up-river parapet continues as a straight section of rubble wall for a similar distance, while the down-river parapet curves around, following the road for approximately 10 meters before roughly terminating.
