Description
The forecourt gates and gatepiers at Llanrhaeadr Hall are a pair of Jacobethan structures featuring contemporary wrought iron gates. The gatepiers are made from carved and dressed limestone blocks, standing approximately 3 meters tall. Each pier has a plain chamfered base and displays fielded and faceted panels on the front and rear faces, with narrow projecting side sections that have volutes at the top. They are topped with moulded cornices and geometric finials on turned plinths. The gates themselves are arched and consist of plain vertical railings adorned with scrolled decorative cresting.
