Description

Colmedw Cottages consists of two cottages, with No. 2 featuring an early 19th century, two-storey, one-window front made of pebbledash. It has a slate roof and a chimney stack that has been heightened in stock brick, complete with a cornice. The cottage includes multipane casement windows and a boarded door located beneath a gabled hood that has a finial and pendant. No. 1 is set down significantly to the right and is characterized by a large lateral chimney breast on the front wall, which is also pebbledashed and has a stepped top. The unusual size of this chimney suggests that it may have originally served as a bakehouse.
