Description

Fron Deg is a mid-19th century, two-storey villa featuring scribed render elevations and hipped slate roofs with wide boarded eaves and stock brick chimney stacks. The front of the building is symmetrical with three windows, rusticated quoins, and a cill band on the first floor. It has four-pane sash windows with shutters on the first floor and French windows below. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door flanked by side lights and topped with an over-light. A notable feature is the cast-iron Coalbrookdale verandah, which includes anthemion cresting, traceried spandrels, and a highly ornate oval-panelled balustrade surrounding the terrace. There is an advanced bay to the south over a side porch.
