Description

Cilmedw Cottages is a pair of cottages dating from the early 19th century. No 2 features a two-storey, one-window front finished in pebbledash, with a slate roof and a chimney stack that has been heightened in stock brick and includes a cornice. It has multipane casement windows and a boarded door located under a gabled hood that is topped with a finial and pendant. No 1 is set significantly lower to the right and is characterized by a large lateral chimney breast on the front wall, which is also pebbledashed and has a stepped top. The unusual size of this chimney suggests that it may have originally served as a bakehouse.
