Description
Rhydonnen Ucha Farmhouse is a 17th century farmhouse with an addition from 1716 on the east side. The building has two storeys and an attic, constructed partly of stone and partly of red brick on the east, featuring rusticated stone quoins. There is a small amount of timber framing on the upper floor at the west. The windows are near-flush casements. On the south wall of the east portion, there is a stone tablet at the first floor inscribed with "HE R 1716".
Inside, the ground floor includes an east room with oak bolection-moulded fielded and raised panelling, along with a cornice and a modern fireplace. The staircase is full height, made of oak, with turned balusters on a close-string and a moulded rail. A balustrade also runs against the wall instead of a dado. On the first floor, the east room is panelled in pine and features a small stone bolection-moulded mantel on a splay. The attic has plain trusses.
