Description

Plas Berwyn is a late Georgian, two-storey building featuring light Gothick details. The exterior is finished with scribed render and has a plinth, a hipped slate roof, wide boarded eaves, and paired octagonal chimney stacks. The front has a 1+3+1 window arrangement, with the central section featuring a full-height advanced and splayed bay made of Bath stone. This bay includes Gothick small pane windows on the first floor, a cillband, and an open porch below the cornice, which has chamfered pointed arch openings and steps leading to the center. The entrance consists of panelled double doors with a Gothick fanlight and sidelights. The flanking bays have 9-pane sashes on the first floor and later 19th-century Bath stone splayed bays below, complete with parapets and horned sash glazing. Additional bays with later 19th-century sash glazing are set back to the left and right, and the return walls of the central block also feature windows. The rear exhibits similar details, with twin shallow gabled cross ranges.

Inside, the detailing is simple, featuring cornices, panelled reveals, and a contemporary staircase.
