Description
Pen-y-Vivod is a two-storey building with a three-window front, featuring a colourwashed exterior, a slate roof, and red brick chimney stacks at each end. The windows include two and three-light casements, a small staircase window at the center, a camber-headed window on the ground floor to the left, and an added top-hung overlight to the right-hand window. There is a deep gabled porch that is offset to the right of center, which has a small pane window at the front and a sheltered side entrance, although the finial is broken.
To the left, there is an attached low rubble wall that encloses the forecourt and extends in front of the former bakehouse and around the well. The former bakehouse, which is single-storey and stepped down and well back to the left, features a rubble chimney stack on the left end and a two-light casement window with a timber lintel, with the entrance located at the rear. The right gable end and rear are finished in pebbledash, with a narrower lean-to.
Inside, the building has boxed in beams and boarded doors, and the bakehouse retains its brick oven.
