Description

The Bailiff's House at Bodysgallen Hall is a 2-storey, 3-window cottage constructed of rubble stone, topped with a slate roof that is hipped to the right. It features a large external stack on the left (northeast) gable end. The openings are adorned with freestone cambered heads that have voussoirs and are slightly recessed below dripstones. The central boarded door, which has strap hinges, includes vented panels. The windows are small-pane wooden cross windows that have been inserted into the original openings.

On the right end wall, there are similar first-floor windows flanking a central doorway that is accessed by wooden steps leading up to a stone parapet. This doorway has a replacement boarded door above which is a blank panel. Below the steps, there is a central inserted window. The rear of the cottage has two windows, with replacement first-floor windows in original openings that resemble those at the front but lack dripstones. On the lower storey, there is a blocked original doorway on the left with a window inserted, and on the right, there is an inserted doorway with a glazed door. Attached to the northeast side are restored cottages. The property has not been inspected.
