Description

White Friars is a two-storey detached house with a compact plan, built with a slate roof laid in graduated courses and a brick chimney. The walls are finished in rough-cast render painted white. The north-west elevation features a cross gable on the left, with the roof sweeping down over the ground floor. This roof slope includes a dormer with a raking roof. On the first floor, there is a three-light casement window with diamond-shaped panes. A porch with a panelled wooden door is covered by a roof of large grey slates, and to the right of the porch is a bay window. On the ground floor to the left, there are three small round-headed windows. The south-west gable end has a single three-light casement window on the first floor, and on the ground floor, there is one single-light and one three-light casement window. At the rear, there is a single-storey wing designed in the same style.

At the southeast end of the garden, there is a two-storey garage with staff accommodation above. This structure is also finished in rough-cast render painted off-white, with a roof covered in small slates. It features overhanging gables and two-light diapered casement windows in the gables, along with two garage doors below. The roof extends over eyebrow dormers on the east and west sides, which contain three-light diapered casement windows.
