Description
Plas Llanfair Cottage is a two-storey house constructed from brown grey rubble masonry, featuring slate roofs, brick chimneys, and wooden casement windows. The entrance front faces north and includes a cross gable to the left, with a two-light window on the first floor and a three-light window on the ground floor. To the right, there is a single-storey steeply gabled porch. Above the porch is a small dormer under a raking roof, and to the right of this dormer is another small gabled dormer, beneath which is a square-headed casement window on the ground floor.
To the west, the cross wing end features a ground floor semi-hexagonal bay, with a two-light casement window above it. To the right, there is a range with two windows and a door set at an angle with the cross wing, which is covered by a lean-to porch. The return to the right (south) has a three-light casement window on the first floor.
Facing east is an unusual range that was remodelled by H L North, featuring paired gables with tall first floor small pane windows and a roof with varied angles. The return to the north has a small dormer under a raking roof, with the roof sweeping down to ground floor level. The return to the south includes small-pane casement windows at eaves level and a Gothic-arched doorway made of red-brown bricks on the ground floor.
