Description

Talfor and Gorsefield are a pair of two-storey semi-detached houses located on West Shore in Llanfairfechan. The walls are finished in rough-cast render painted white, and the roofs are covered with small violet-blue slates interspersed with groups of three grey-green slates. Each house features a tall shared central chimney stack, along with individual chimneys at each end of the ridge.

The front elevation showcases two forward-facing gables, each with a double-pitched roof that extends down to the ground floor. There is a broad window in each gable on the first floor, and between the gables are hipped dormer bedroom windows, with similar windows located in the roof slopes at each end of the pair. The roof extends down to create a porch supported by braced wooden posts. Under the porch, there is a door and a broad casement window for each house, along with a broad casement window in the ground floor of each gable.

The rear of the houses has a similar design, but without a porch. Additionally, Talfor includes an extra single-storey wing that is positioned at right angles to the main structure.
