Description
The outbuilding at Ty Isa Trofarth is a rectangular former brewhouse dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of whitened rubble and features a slate roof with a brick parapet at the northern gable. A squat, square chimney with weathercoursing and capping is located at the southern gable. On the eastern side, which faces the farmyard, there is a large modern opening on the right that extends up to the eaves. The western side, which faces the house, has a nearly central entrance with an old boarded and studded door, along with an exposed timber lintel. To the right of this entrance, there is a short flight of old stone steps leading up to an upper boarded door. A modern rendered buttress is positioned to the right of the steps, and pronounced rock foundations are visible at the right corner.
Inside, the building has a two-bay layout with plain 18th-century tiebeam trusses and evidence of former flooring above. There is a large two-stage chimney at the southern end that projects into the interior.
