Description
The Agricultural Range at Ty Isa Trofarth consists of two sections. The primary section, likely from the 18th century, is a carthouse on the right, while the additional cart and stable extension on the left probably dates from the second quarter of the 19th century. The building is constructed of whitened rubble, featuring an old small-slate roof on the primary cart bay section, and a slightly higher roof covered with corrugated iron on the extension.
The primary section includes two plain square cart bays with exposed timber lintels, and above these are two 2-light square, open windows located under the eaves. The right gable end has an external flight of stone steps leading to an upper boarded entrance framed with a stopped-chamfered design and an exposed lintel.
The later section features a stable entrance on the left with a boarded door and a cambered lintel adorned with painted voussoirs. Flanking this entrance are two modern steel-framed windows. To the right, there is a depressed-arched cart entrance with voussoirs, which has been partly reduced and includes a 20th-century stable door with a 4-pane window incorporated to the right. The upper floor has three equally spaced small rectangular windows under the eaves, each with two lights, wooden mullions, and boarded shutters.
The interior was not inspected during the survey.
