Description
1, 2 and 3 Rock Court are three houses that also include an attached stable and cartshed. They were built in the late 17th century, with alterations made in the late 18th century, mid 19th century, and 20th century. At the time of the survey, the buildings were undergoing restoration. The structures are made of coursed rubble with stone dressings and feature steeply pitched pantile roofs with stone slate verges. There are two gable stacks, one made of brick and the other rendered.
The buildings are two storeys tall, with some having attics, and they present a five-window range. The windows were boarded over during the survey. To the left, there is a projecting single-bay addition that has one window on each floor, with rendered splayed lintels, and a doorway to the right with a stone surround. The main block has four windows, and above it are four raking dormers with renewed two-light casements. The ground floor features two close boarded doors with unglazed overlights and the remnants of a tiled lean-to canopy. In the center, there is a plain doorway and a small unglazed window. To the right, there is a pair of garage doors with a wooden lintel.
On the right end, there is a single-storey brick outbuilding with a pantile roof, which has a central doorway and a small window to the left. On the left end, there is a stable and cartshed with a corrugated iron roof. This area has a blank opening flanked on the left by a pair of garage doors and on the right by an altered pair of garage doors, along with a small unglazed window. The rear elevation has scattered windows.
