Description
The carthouse at Bronheulog is a four-bay rectangular structure built of rubble with a slate roof. It features three wide cart entrances that have cambered brick heads and plain dividing rubble piers. The final bay on the right has a flat wooden lintel and is open to the eaves. On the left gable, there is a small rubble lean-to that includes a modern boarded door on the left and a boarded loading bay with an exposed lintel at the front. The right-hand section at the rear has been rebuilt using modern breeze block, and a wooden and corrugated iron lean-to is attached to the rear on the left side. Inside, the carthouse has a four-bay layout with tie-beam and raking strut trusses.
