Description
This is a rectangular cast-iron pillar box made by W T Allen and Co of London. It stands on a chamfered stone plinth and features a pyramidal roof topped with a ball finial. The box has a moulded rim around the overlapping door, which displays a crown insignia above the weathering and the embossed words "POST OFFICE" near the letter opening. Below the collection plate, there is an embossed monogram.
