Description
This building, known as House and Rowlands Pharmacy, is a three-storey, three-bay shop and house constructed of whitened roughcast over brick, topped with a slate roof and a brick chimney on the left side. The ground floor features a late 20th-century shop front and fascia. To the right of the shop front, there is an original passage entrance that has an added up-and-over door beneath boarded infill.
Above the shop, the house has four-pane sash windows, with the middle windows slightly offset to the right. The first floor includes canted oriel windows on both the right and left sides, with a central window framed in an architrave. The second floor has similar but shorter sash windows, also set within architraves.
The left gable end of the building is made of brick and includes two inserted windows on the middle storey and one inserted window on the upper right. On the left side, partly within the rear wing, there are superimposed stair windows with segmental heads and replacement glazing. The lower two-storey wing is painted white and has an inserted window facing the path that leads to the churchyard.
The building has not been inspected.
